Curtis Lumber proudly announces the return of its much-anticipated 16th Annual Pet-A-Palooza Pet Adoption Day, set for Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the company’s headquarters store located in Ballston Spa, NY.

A community-favorite event and one of the largest pet adoption celebrations in the region, PetAPalooza brings together over 40 local animal shelters and rescue groups from across the Capital Region.  Families will have the opportunity to meet and adopt dogs, cats, rabbits, and other furry friends in need of loving homes.

Last year alone, more than 300 pets were adopted! With adoption experts on-site and a festival-like atmosphere, this event is an ideal feel-good feature for any outlet looking to spotlight local impact and heartwarming stories.

In addition to adoption opportunities, Pet-A-Palooza will offer a full day of family-friendly fun, including:

• Pet service providers such as veterinarians, groomers, trainers, pet sitters, and more
• Benson’s Pet Center will offer free premium dog/cat food with each pet adoption
• Free Pet Microchipping Clinic courtesy of Mohawk Hudson Humane Society
• Steve Caporizzo from the WTEN Pet Connection will be on hand for photo opportunities and autographs
• A Pet Food & Supply Drive to support No Empty Bowls, a nonprofit that helps pet owners keep their animals safe, fed, and in their homes. Guests are encouraged to bring unopened bags of dog or cat food to donate at the event.
• Free face painting and children’s activities
• A variety of delicious local food trucks
